Roy Rose has served as Board Chairman of HPA since its inception and previously served as Chief Executive Officer from the company’s inception until September 2021, resuming the role in January 2023. Mr. Rose has over forty years of experience in the private equity market as a financial and strategic professional with diverse experience.

Mr. Rose has developed corporate strategies and restructuring plans for actionable business and financial transitions to propel company growth, expansion and diversification. He has provided leadership in structuring and investing in leveraged buyouts, real estate transactions, analysis, and private investing in nearly forty acquisitions and management buyouts since 1985.

Benjamin Daniels is a seasoned financial strategist, private equity leader, and executive with more than 25 years of experience driving growth, structuring capital, and building high-performing organizations. With a proven track record across investment banking, fund management, and strategic development, he has successfully led complex financial initiatives totaling over $14.5 billion in domestic and international financing.

As Principal and Chief Financial Strategist at Autzen Ventures, Mr. Daniels has managed private equity funds exceeding $900 million across multiple asset-based lending and hedge fund strategies. He specializes in capital formation, financial structuring, and large-scale infrastructure and real estate investments, working closely with institutional investors, government entities, and global partners. He has built and scaled companies from concept through exit, consistently delivering strong returns and operational excellence.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Daniels held senior leadership roles at Mallard Financial Group, where he served as Registered Principal and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing brokerage operations, compliance, and portfolio management. He also held advisory roles with West Coast Bank and Morgan Stanley, developing deep expertise in securities, wealth management, and client advisory services. Known for his “turnaround and restructuring” strategies, he combines strategic vision with hands-on execution. Mr. Daniels holds an MBA from Liberty University.

Grant Diggles has served as President of HPA since 2022, having previously served as Vice President of Member Relations. Mr. Diggles previously served as Chief Executive Officer and owner of Outpatient Anesthesia Services, an anesthesia firm based in Portland, until the successful asset sale of the business in 2024. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of The Cummings Group for a similar duration, where he provided management services to clients including leadership development, marketing strategy, and administrative support within the healthcare industry.

He has over twenty-five years of experience as a business owner and entrepreneur, with formal training in media and marketing and a Social Media Expert Certification. He is a co-author of The Soul of Success V.2, published in 2015, alongside best-selling author Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul). Mr. Diggles holds an Associate Degree in Media, Marketing and Computer Science from ITT Technical Institute.

Dominic Odierno has over 30 years’ experience in finance, capitalization strategy, business and corporate development, stakeholder management, intellectual property and operations. Mr. Odierno has co-founded several companies over his career, including artius.iD, a cybersecurity company focused on Enterprise Identity, and SureID, Inc., a leading provider of identity management and access control solutions for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security.

Prior to SureID, Mr. Odierno was VP and co-founder of Peregrine Holdings, Ltd., involved in the acquisition, merger, and re-organization of privately held companies with sales up to $150 million. Throughout his career, Mr. Odierno has developed business plans and been responsible for funding in excess of $200 million to support the growth of his companies. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from the University of Oregon.

John Van Leeuwen has served in several HPA management roles since June 2020. During his career as a financial advisor for dentists, Mr. Van Leeuwen advised dentists on all aspects of their personal and practice financial planning including retirement, estate, investment, cash flow, and debt management.

He was the founder and president of IPA Dental Financial Planning, a Portland firm, from 1994 through 2005. In 2006 he orchestrated a merger of IPA with the Partners Group, where he acted as Senior Vice President and Director of Dental Practice Services and Wealth Management. Since 2011, Mr. Van Leeuwen has served as President and Co-Founder of Green Sail Transitions Inc., a dental practice transitions company. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Aaron has more than a decade of sales experience in both software and dental provider recruitment, plus more than 5 years of operational and managerial experience with not-for-profit organizations.

Aaron comes from a family of healthcare providers and worked as a State Administrator for his family’s residential care business, LandyCare Inc., in California. He understands the impact of healthcare on the patient and their extended family, and wants to make sure independent healthcare thrives for the next generation.

AJ started his career in the dental industry in 2019 while still studying business at Montana State University, learning the ropes of dental practice valuations and brokerage from his dad, John Van Leeuwen, owner of Green Sail Transitions, Inc. and one of the early members of the HPA team.

AJ has spent the last 5 years as a dental practice broker, real estate broker, and practice valuation analyst, focusing his expertise on helping streamline and expand HPA’s footprint.

Practicing general dentistry in Bend for more than 20 years, Dr. Hester’s passion is helping people achieve a beautiful, healthy smile. He graduated from the University of Portland with a B.S. in Biology — where he was voted his baseball team’s Most Valuable Player — and earned his D.M.D. at Oregon Health and Science University.

Committed to providing the most advanced dental care, Dr. Hester invests hundreds of hours each year enhancing his skills, having studied with leading authorities including Dr. Peter Dawson and The Pankey Institute, Dr. David Hornbrook, Dr. Carl Misch, and Drs. Ken Reed & William Gottschalk.
